Providing quality education since 1868, St. James College is a popular Catholic co-educational secondary college in the Edmund Rice tradition.  Celebrating its 146th year as one of Australia's most historic schools, St James has a proud tradition of welcoming students in Year 7-12 from a broad spectrum of the Australian population.  Also, St James has more than 30 years experience working with International Students and have been recognised by the Queensland Government for its Student Support Services

Co-curricula Overview

St James offers a truly unique and exciting co-curricular program. Sporting, cultural and other activities provide important arenas for St James students to extend their talents while also learning the skills of team work and leadership. Such involvement builds school spirit and instills a sense of belonging.

St James seeks to promote both high levels of participation and the pursuit of excellence by students who have talents in particular sports and activities.

Students have the opportunity to compete in a range of sports as well as the major carnivals such as swimming, cross country and athletics.

  • One of St James’ unique curriculum streams is the Outdoor Studies Program. In this program students learn about:
